Michelle Manker, worked as a vet tech for the Avian Exotic Animal Clinic for approximately ten years and has been working with exotics and wildlife her entire life.  She received the Channel 6 Leadership Award in 2005 for her efforts in saving local wildlife and for the education classes she teaches at local shelters and schools. She is recognized as one of the best in the area by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources, the local police agencies, and the Greater Indianapolis area (Marion County and its contiguous surrounding counties).  She is known as the "go-to-girl" when they have injured wildlife or a wildlife situation where an expert is needed.
